Anglers Paradise is one of the countrie's most well known fishing holiday destinations. Wonderful lakes, plenty of large and small fish, undisturbed and utterly peaceful fishing in the heart of devon. Here is their latest fishery newsletter.
Outstanding Fishing
Fishing has been outstanding lately, there’s not enough room in the newsletter to mention everybody’s catches so here are a few of the more notable ones.
Catfish have been coming out in droves from most of the lakes including 51lb to Mark Cotterill, 47lb to Dion Cooke-Martin, 43lb to Lee Duffin 40lb to Dom Smith. Also a really nice story, Becca Sandle down on holiday caught her first ever fish a 30lb Cat, followed by her second fish a 50lb Cat, not a bad start.
On the Carp front, Jeff Rowland caught a superb Mirror from the Specimen Lake at 32lb 10oz, Gaz Pearson with a nice 33lb 4oz Mirror from Kraking Carp, Frogs with a 25lb 4oz off the Specimen Lake and Guy Warwick, son of Frank Warwick with 4 twenties, the best a 27lb 02oz Mirror, like father like son.
On the Koi lake there have been 5 eight pound plus fish caught including 9lb 2oz to Ali Pearson, 9lb to Gaz Pearson and8lb 8oz to Mark Cotterill. Other notable catches were a Golden Tench of 5lb 2oz to James Mathews.
Carpfest
We are hosting one of the Carpfest shows at Anglers Paradise on the 29th and 30th May. Delkim, Trakker, Mainline, Diawa, Korda & Aqua put the date in your diary and come and meet some of the stars.
