The Angling Trust are asking for ladies who are interested in representing England in this years 23rd FIPSed Ladies World Championships to submit a CV before the end of March.
The 2016 event is scheduled for the 28th/29th August and is likely to take place in Spain, although the venue is not yet confirmed, it could be at Merida.
England Ladies Manager Dave Brooks is looking for anglers who are capable of fishing to World Championship rules and therefore the submitted CV should indicate the style of fishing used. Pole, waggler or slider are expected to be the best methods at this Spanish venue, but bleak may play a part so whip fishing, and a short line long pole approach may be needed.
Because the team is unfunded, any successful applicant will be expected to help raise funds or contribute towards the costs themselves.
Last year in Belgium, the team did not make the podium but Dave is convinced that 2016 will see them bounce back to their winning ways as in 2013 when the Ladies won Gold in Slovenia.
All applicants must have individual membership of the Angling Trust and the closing date for submissions is March 31st. Please post or email to Sandra Drew, Competitions & Events Manager, Angling Trust, Strelley Hall, Nottingham. NG8 6PE, or email; sandra.drew@anglingtrust.net
