It is stocked with loads of fish such as, carp, tench, bream, perch, roach, orfe, eel, ide, skimmers and a few trout. The carp are plentiful, running to a lake record of 20lb+. The average good carp caught is about 9lb. However Adam (bailiff) has just added 1000 small 1lb carp to the lake and bream run to 8lb.Nether Mill Coarse Fishery is my local fishery and I fish it every week ... it's outstanding.
Adam charges £5 for a day ticket for 2 rods and matches are available to book (keepnets supplied by Adam). There are no bait bans apart from nuts and the only rules are common sense like no keepnets, no litter, all fish must be returned ect.
Also Nether Mill Coarse Fishery is a friendly place to fish as it is very well maintained and everyone that fishes it just want to go and have a peaceful day fishing. It is open all year round apart from when matches are on which is usually Sundays. Contact Adam on 07770 670042 for info.
This week I went fishing and caught a 8 1/2lb common a 7 3/4lb common and a 5 1/2lb bream along with loads of small carp tench and skimmers.
