Angling Trust Fishing NewsTHE LADIES TAKE TO THE HIGH SEAS

The FFE Club had their first sea fishing trip on Sunday 2nd August 2009.

Taking a chartered boat called The Warlord out of Amble Harbour the ten ladies managed to catch 28 Mackerel between them!

Club member, Mary Snowdon said;

"How exciting was that! What a great trip we had. Poppy and I just loved it and I am definitely on for the next one!"

We are currently looking into organising another sea fishing trip to be held soon. Interested?

WHAT HAVE THE LADIES BEEN UP TO?

This month many of our ladies have been out and about fishing themselves. Here’s what Club member, Sue Hewitson has been up to.

“I went to an event held at Higham Lake, Ponteland on Friday 31st June held by the Angling Development Board to celebrate National Fishing Week. It was fantastic value (£5 for a BBQ and tuition followed by some fishing on the lakes!)

”The tuition was really good and aimed at the complete beginner which was ideal for me. The morning session was tuition, lunch then an hour on the lake after lunch. It was unfortunate in the afternoon with the weather as the wind really picked up which made it difficult for us absolute beginners.”

If you get up to anything exciting this month email your story into me.
