Summer sun and happy anglers Another good week at Witton Castle lakes with 130 anglers and a total catch of 650 fish, averaging a visit of 5 fish per angler. Etang de Planchon’s first season started on the 18th March 2011, it opened its doors to three cracking guys, Dean Forster, Gary Johnson and Andy Bohane. Greg Boothright from Wandsworth rounded off a brilliant Halloween day session at Bury Hill Fisheries when his mackerel strip hookbait was snapped up by a stunning 14lb zander, one of the biggest of the season so far. James Anderson landed 29 fish during a 40-hour session using Dynamite boilies, pellets and hemp at 70 yards range. His biggest two fish weighed 28lb 02oz and 34lb 12oz.
