Despite the continuing easterly winds, April continues to produce some cracking thirties from both Temple and the Old Lake. Interestingly, most of these fish have been caught during the day, whilst many have put on a huge amount of weight over the winter months and are now at record weights. Not one but two thirties grace the banks of Temple at Bury Hill Fisheries in as many days topped by a stunning linear, Nemo, which was caught at a whopping 39lb 8oz. Fished over a four day period, freezing cold winds and torrential downpours made for difficult fishing for most with short pole or feeder being the only viable options. The Angling Trust has released the details of the 2015 English National Youth Loch Style Final. An S&TA Regional Meeting has been arranged at the Tank Museum, Bovington, on Thursday September 25th 2014. Doors will open at 6pm, at which time people can view the WWII Hall and Discovery Centre inside the museum.
